ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT

What does your competition day look like (Do you have a pre-comp ritual or superstitions)?
I don't really have any rituals, I usually have a big high protein/carb meal the night before and my comp day food is just a regular day of eating for me.
What is the most important mental aspect of your training and competing?
A lot of my training sessions are done with my son, so I'm constantly being interrupted so I have adapted and learnt how to just "switch on".
Who are your role models and why?
My coach, Alana Campbell, is certainly a role model for me, she continues to walk the walk and demonstrates what consistency, determination, perseverance and commitment look like on a daily basis. But I also have a lot of other people in my life, too many to name, who inspire me every day after having watched them overcome challenges in their lives and continue to be really amazing people.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start in the sport?
Just have a go, it is so much fun and you will meet some amazing like-minded people.
What are your plans and goals for the future in your sport and generally?
My number one goal in this sport, whether it is this year or the next and so on, is to be the Worlds Strongest Woman.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the gym/sport?
As a full-time mum, coach, athlete, partner, and gym owner, I don't have a lot of spare time, so what spare time I do have, is spent with my family and it is usually at the beach or a movie.
